Rally – Cuoq in a duel against Maurin at Terre de Causses

Jean-Marie Cuoq (Citroën C4 WRC) has succeeded its first step in the 20th Rally Land of the Causses (Midi-Pyrénées) by taking the lead in the race with 4 special victories. The reigning winner of the event is in a duel against Julien Maurin (Ford Fiesta WRC) which is only 11 seconds behind.

Lionel Baud (Fiesta WRC) completes the provisional podium almost a minute behind the leader after losing time in the first stages due to poor settings. Stéphane Lefebvre (DS3 R5) follows in 4th place, occupying the head of Group R. Stephan Codou (Subaru Impreza WRX) completes the top five with a dozen seconds ahead of Stéphane Chambon (DS3 R5).

José-Antonio Suarez Miranda leads the 208 Rally Cup ten seconds ahead of Stéphane Consani followed by Emmanuel Gascou. In the Citroën Racing Trophy, Vincent Dubert leads the way with a 12-second lead over Denis Millet, with Frédéric Hauswald completing the top three ahead of Yohan Rossel.

The second stage of the Rallye Terre des Causses, which will include four special stages, will begin at 11:05 a.m.
