The start of the race Rally de la Vienne was particularly disrupted by rain and mud and by several road exits, one of which required a double evacuation by helicopter. Making their way over their opponents, Denis Millet (Polo) and Nicolas Hernandez (Fabia) found themselves alone in the fight, separated by less than 3 seconds at mid-race!
Bruno Longépé (Polo) failed to find the rhythm and Anthony Cosson (Porsche), despite its efforts, could not compete with its two-wheel drive in these perilous climatic conditions.

In the second loop, everyone found a drier road and therefore traction. Millet and Hernandez went head to head and at mid-race, the gap was only 2''4 in favor of the driver from Besançon who logically dominates the 4-wheel drive category of the Michelin Rallye Tour.
