The first loop (3 special stages) played this morning served as an observation round for Mickaël Reydellet (Polo GTI R5) and Marc Amourette (C3 Rally2). Indeed, after the 37,05 kilometers covered, the two drivers maintained approximately the same gap, to the advantage of the Polo driver. Amourette led the charge during the second loop to come back to 10,6 seconds behind Reydellet. The last three stages will be decisive.
Amourette continued to scrounge up seconds to get back to 5,9 seconds before attacking the 14,6 kilometers of La Vienne, the last special of the rally. Amourette was faster than Reydellet in this final time. But he was unable to get back on the leader. Reydellet scored his first victory in the French 2nd Division Championship after his second place in Epernay. The Polo driver also scored maximum points in the Michelin Rally Tour. Nyls Stievenart (C3 Rally2) completed the podium behind Amourette.
Eric Brunson, discovering PH Sport's C3 Rally2, returned to Dieppe with 4th place ahead of Eddie Lemaitre (Fabia Rally2 Evo).
Author of six scratch times during this second stage, five in a row at the end of the rally, Anthony Cosson (Porsche 991 GT3 Cup) clearly confirmed that he was able to fight for victory ahead of the Rally2/5. Unfortunately, a puncture and 4 minutes lost in SS 4 took away all hope. Cosson left with the GT victory in the Michelin Rally Tour, just like Dorian Deslandes (208 R2) in two-wheel drive.
