Rally France – Le Var will take place

Since yesterday, violent bad weather has hit the South of France. Concerning the last round of the French Rally Championship in the Var, the event even threatened to be canceled by the prefecture, as the director of the event Alain Mahé confided this morning, cited by France Bleu Provence. “I am unable to tell you whether the Rally du Var will take place this weekend. In any case, it will be amputated. »

Finally, the event will be maintained with several changes to the course. The SS3 scheduled for today (Roquebrune) will be canceled as the roads are too damaged in this sector.

Concerning the second stage, the finish of the SS7 will be judged at the top of the Col de Gratteloup and the SS9, between La Mole and Le Canadel will not be used. The service park is now located at the exit of Sainte-Maxime, on the road to Port Grimaud. The first special should start around 14:40 p.m.
