Rally – Limousin returns to the French Championship

The Executive Office of the FFSA has unveiled the 2016 calendars for the different national disciplines. The French Asphalt Rally Championship will return to Limousin.

Rally – Limousin returns to the French Championship

After an absence of a year, Limousin will once again host the French Asphalt Rally Championship at the dawn of summer, from June 16 to 18, 2016. The event will be one of the nine rounds on the program next year on the stage of the rally national.

The season will begin once again on the roads of Le Touquet (Pas de Calais) from March 17 to 19, before moving on to the traditional destinations of Lyon-Charbonnières (April 21-23), and Antibes? Côte d’Azur (May 19-22).

Rouergue (July 7-9) will mark the only stage contested during the July-August period before the restart scheduled for early September at Mont-Blanc Morzine. The Tour de Corse (September 30? October 2) will be there again, before the Cévennes duo? Var to conclude in October and November.

Furthermore, recognitions will be better supervised with geolocation boxes installed in the cars (in reconnaissance and during the rally). The points scale has also been revised, to follow that of the World Rally Championship on the format 25 points to the winner, 18 to the second, 15 to the third, 12, 10, 8, 6, 4, 2, 1.
