Pierre Roché is preparing to start the new season of the French Rally Championship which will begin this weekend with the Rally du Touquet (Pas-de-Calais). The resident of Team FJ-Elf is entering this season with the best pretensions. “Last season went very well but this year we are aiming even higher, we are clearly going to fight for the title of French champions”, said the 2014 vice-champion.
For the occasion, Pierre Roché changed his mount by abandoning his Mini JCW WRC for a Ford Fiesta WRC. “We already feel comfortable with the Fiesta. It's a great car, very agile and with an engine that's probably a little more efficient than that of the Mini., he added. “However, you will have to be very careful because the competition is tough. We will have to fight at each rally to collect as many points as possible which will make the difference in the end. We will have to start attacking from Le Touquet. »
Pierre Roché distinguished himself by taking the last step of the podium last year behind the Fiesta WRC of Julien Maurin and the Citroën C4 WRC of Quentin Gilbert. “It is an often difficult rally with slippery parts which can be very tricky. »
