Rally – Quentin Gilbert with the Clio R3T at Mont-Blanc

Despite a disappointment at Rally from Germany where Quentin Gilbert had to restart in Rally2 as part of the Dmack Fiesta Trophy, the Vosges remains in demand as proven by the announcement of Renault Sport. Le Losange called the Frenchman to make the competition debut of the Renault Cllio R3T during the Mont-Blanc Rally (Rhône-Alpes) contested from September 4 to 6 as part of the French Rally Championship. “It is an honor and pride to have been chosen by Renault Sport Technologies as official driver”, comments Quentin Gilbert. “It’s a return to my roots for me, after driving several seasons in a Renault. Above all, it is a great opportunity. I want to show myself worthy of it through a beautiful result. »

After making a brilliant debut in the discipline, notably coming close to the title during the first edition of the Twingo R1 Trophy, Quentin Gilbert is preparing to get back behind the wheel of a Renault during a test session organized next Monday. “My knowledge of the R3 category and this day of testing will help me to be operational from the first special. The Mont-Blanc Rally is an event that I love and know well. We will be able to demonstrate, despite its youth, that the Clio R3T is the new gem in its category. »

If Quentin Gilbert will be the official driver entered by Renault Sport at Mont-Blanc, other drivers will also be at the wheel of the Clio R3T: Manu guigou, Jérémie Sérieys, Laurent Reuche and Fabiano Lo Fiego.
