After evolving into WRC 2 on a DS 3 R5 last year, Yohan Rossel wanted to go down a notch in order to have a program offering more reasonable budgets. The Frenchman will be lined up in the French Rally Championship on a Hyundai i20 R5 prepared by the CPI Racing – Onyx Racing team with which he will aim for the title while still being co-driven by Benoit Fulcrand.
“After the 2017 world season, we had to bounce back, we chose the French Championship, comments Yoha Rossel, who last year signed his first victory in the general classification of an event counting for the French championship at the Critérium des Cévennes. I am very happy to be driving the Hyundai i20 R5, in a team that trusted me in a difficult moment. »
“Returning to the French championship with the level that there will be this year is a new bet that I like. In the past, we have always succeeded. The competition will be highly publicized (on Canal + and FFSA TV), the fights will be intense and I know that the CPI Racing – Onyx Racing team with Pascal Enjolras will do everything to ensure that we achieve our goal, the title”, added the person concerned.
The 2018 season will begin the weekend of March 17 with the Rally du Touquet (Pas-de-Calais).
