FFSA Youth Rallies 2016 soon on track

It was during the Paris Motor Show (October 1 – 16) that the first part of the selection Rally Youth will take place, before a second session scheduled from November 4 to 7 on the Gard route of Lédenon, which will also host the national final. The first registrations, to be done on the official website, will be open from July.

Two pilots will be selected and will be rewarded with six events in the 2017 French Junior Rally Championship, the winner of which will be offered a season in WRC-3 in 2018. La sélection sera organisée en partenariat avec Michelin et M-Sport. La structure de Malcolm Wilson permettra aux candidats de se confronter sur des Fiesta R2 lors de la finale nationale avant de proposer des voitures pour le Championnat de France Junior.

“M-Sport has been in charge of Ford's WRC program for almost twenty years and has included Eric Camilli in its ranks since the start of the season, says Malcolm Wilson. In view of the dazzling career of this winner of the FFSA 2012 Youth Rally operation and his surprising sporting performances, I wanted to offer Eric the opportunity to join us at the beginning of 2016, with his co-driver Benjamin Veillas.

Convinced of the quality of federal detection and training, I wanted to strengthen my involvement alongside the Federation, to support and accompany young drivers from their first trajectories on the FFSA Youth Rally selections and enable them to reach the highest level in WRC. »

The operation notably made it possible to reveal the future stars of the discipline in France and at world level like Sébastien Loeb, twice finalist, or even Sébastien Ogier, 2005 winner.
