R5 record at Le Touquet, Fourmaux and Panizzi back
Although postponed from April 8 to 10, the Rally du Touquet 2021 has never looked so attractive. Indeed, the entry list, published Monday evening March 8 by the organizers, shows 145 modern cars and 45 HCVs, not to mention a long waiting list! A record was even reached for the R5 class, with 41 vehicles, unheard of in the French Championship.
Four former winners will be present (Yoann Bonato, Yohan Rossel, Nicolas Ciamin and Eric Brunson with a Ford Fiesta WRC). Two presenters of the WRC2 World Championship will join them, namely Nikolay Gryazin (Volkswagen Polo GTI) and above all Adrien fourmaux. Will the Frenchman be present with a Fiesta Rally1 or Raly2? Suspense.
After a successful test session in Alès this winter, “Tarmac master” Gilles Panizzi will have fun aboard a Hyundai i20. On the RGT side, the Alpine A110 should play the leading roles thanks in particular to Cédric Robert and François Delecour.
