Robert at maximum, Bouffier well placed

Cedric Robert (Peugeot 307 WRC), at the end of the second day of Rally du Var, is the undisputed leader of the last event of the French Rally Championship. But the driver of the GPC Motorsport Motul team, after having further increased his lead, could only admit his helplessness in winning the French Champion title.

?We had a lot of fun at the end of the day but it?s true that we look more in the past, confided Robert upon arrival. We'll see how it ends. There are three stages left tomorrow. Above all, we are going to have fun, because the car works well. »

Although he is the leader, Cédric Robert is actually less well placed than Bryan Bouffier (Peugeot 207 S2000) to win the final title. “ Everything is going really well. The car runs wonderfully. However, the weather is far from ideal but this third place is really very good. We must continue like this. » By continuing at the same pace, the three-time Polish Champion will claim the title of Champion of France.

Behind, there is no shortage of satisfaction: Stéphane Sarrazin (Peugeot 207 S2000) is at the foot of the podium, ahead of Robert Kubica (Renault Clio S1600) which amazes its rivals and observers. Sixth, Manu Guigou (Renault Clio R3) leads in group R, ahead of Sébastien Ogier (Citroën DS3 R3), still struggling with its brakes.
