Romain Dumas, after having taken part in several events of the French Rally Championship, will compete in the full season in 2011. If he was still waiting after the last one Rally du Var, the Cévennes driver will be present on the French roads this year.
He will take the wheel of the new Porsche 911 GT3 RS, a car equipped with a 3,8-liter six-cylinder engine developing 450 horsepower, in order to compete in the GT+ category.
“The Rally is super fun for me,” he confides. It's the perfect compromise alongside my activities on circuits. With my old car, I have already won eleven class victories and six overall victories. With this new 911 GT3 RS, it is obvious that we will be more competitive. »
The Porsche driver will also compete in a partial endurance program with Audi. Winner of the last 24 Hours of Le Mans, the Cévennes driver will return to Sarthe with his teammates Timo Bernhard and Mike Rockenfeller. Previously, within the same crew, he will take part in the 12 Hours of Sebring and the 1000 km of Spa.
