Romain Roche triples the stakes at Gap

They promised us a fight until the end for the final victory in Rally Gap Racing, Romain Roche and Nicolas Latil kept their word. Leader this morning, with a margin of 2″8 over his former co-driver, Nicolas Latil (Volkswagen Polo GTI R5) suffered from a more delicate warm-up in the first pass of the day's loop, leaving Romain Roche (Citroên C3 R5) regain the advantage by four tenths.

A lead erased by Latil in the second pass in Vitrolles – Lardier, who then takes control of the race for three tenths before the final SS and the second pass in the Notre-Dame de Laus sector.

By six tenths, Romain Roche is ahead of Nicolas Latil on this final special and pockets a third victory in a row on the roads around Tallard. Still in the running to aim for victory this morning, David Salanon (Volkswagen Polo GTI R5) was unable to join the fight this Sunday, and failed at 9″9 on the last step of the podium.

The top 5 is completed by Damien Oberti (Citroën C3 R5) and Thierry Pascal (Skoda Fabia Rally2 Evo), with Eric Mauffrey (Skoda Fabia Rally2 Evo) finishing 6th.

Benjamin Cardenas imposes his Peugeot 306 in F2/14 and finished first of the two-wheel drive in ninth place ahead of Grégory Fontalba (Renault Clio), winner in R3. Excellent 12th place for Cédric Durand (Renault Clio), winner in FN3.
