Rouergue: Pierre Roché new leader

Eric Brunson and Jean-Michel Da Cunha were fighting for the lead in the Rallye du Rouergue, before both puncturing in the ninth special of the event, leaving first place to the Peugeot 307 WRC of Pierre Roché.

Rouergue: Pierre Roché new leader

Eric Brunson (Subaru Impreza) kept Jean-Michel Da Cunha (Citroën Xsara) in check WRC), after taking the lead in the event. But the two leaders who were vying for victory both punctured in the Oleys-Moyrazes-Colombies special (SS9), falling to fourth and fifth positions at the end of the second stage.

Pierre Roché récupère donc la tête de l?épreuve et possède une confortable avance de 1?35??8 sur Gilles Nantet, qui grimpe en deuxième place avec sa Porsche GT3. Ludovic Gal est en troisième position à une trentaine de secondes de la précédente voiture.

Marc Amourette returned fifth place to Jean-Michel Da Cunha in the last special of the day and finds himself in sixth position at the wheel of his Citroën DS3, 30 seconds ahead of Julian Carret, also in Citroën DS3.

Jean-François Bérenguer (Renault Mégane), Manu Guigou (Renault Mégane RS) and Jean-Mathieu Léandri (Subaru Impreza) retired in the second stage.

The crews are preparing for the final stage of the Rally du Rouergue which will be contested tomorrow from 8:35 a.m. Four special stages are on the program for a total of 51 timed kilometers.
