Sébastien and Séverine Loeb delighted

Sébastien and Séverine Loeb (Citroen C4 WRC), armed with the best car in the field on the roads of the south of France, won the Rally du Var at the end of a final eventful stage. Leading during the first two days of competition, the Loeb couple fell to second place on Saturday evening, after receiving a three-minute penalty due to a poor score in the service park. But, on Sunday morning, on rainy roads, the Loebs were able to return to the front, taking advantage of the setbacks of Pieter Tsjoen (Ford Focus RS WRC) to win.

« It?s always great to win a rally, declared the six-time world champion upon arrival. And I prefer to kiss Séverine rather than Daniel on the podium! » Used to traveling the world in the WRC, the Alsatian enjoyed driving on French roads for this last weekend in November. “ These are very nice specials, attests the Frenchman. We experienced all weather conditions. Yesterday we had a very nice day and today we had a lot of water on the road. Séverine added a challenge to me. There were a lot of people on the special stages. As there was no round of the World Championship in France, it was a good opportunity to ride in front of our crowd. »

Séverine Loeb, sitting in the co-driver's seat of the Citroën C4 WRC, appreciated being able to help her husband, even if the scoring error on Saturday evening could have cost the victory to the Loeb duo. “ It was a great weekend, declares the young woman. I had a lot of fun in the car. I made a big mistake yesterday by clocking in early but my darling made up for it this morning! Looking forward to the next rally. »
