Snobeck lives up to his title

Reigning French champion, Dany Snobeck did not miss the start of the 2009 campaign by winning on the roads of the 61st Rallye Lyon Charbonnières Rhône with his co-driver Gilles Mondesir in the Peugeot 307WRC prepared by Bozian Racing.

Snobeck lives up to his title

Traditional opening round of the French Rally Championship, the Rally Lyon Charbonnières Rhône welcomed a field full of 186 competitors. Untouchable during the first stage thanks to a more suitable tire, David Salanon and Jean-Luc Seon (Peugeot 307WRC) were unable to defend their chances until the end. They went off the road at the start of the second stage, leaving the way clear for Dany Snobeck and Gilles Mondesir.

The French Champion did not miss the opportunity. By achieving all the best times on the second day, he won the first rally of the season, beating his first rival by more than two minutes: “I had a great car throughout the rally with a great co-driver and a great team. . We had fun. My car has evolved a lot compared to last year. The Peugeot 307WRC is making big progress everywhere. I am very happy that my runner-up is Jean-Sébastien Vigion who I am supporting this season. »

Winner of the BFGoodrich Trophy last season, Jean-Sébastien Vigion is off to a perfect start to this new campaign. Co-driven by Eric Yvernault, he won this first round by finishing second in the general classification at the wheel of his Peugeot 207 Super 2000. They were ahead of Olivier Marty and René Belleville (Peugeot 207 Super 2000), on the third step of the scratch podium.

Gilles Nantet and Jérôme Degout (Porsche 996 GT3) won the Series GT Group by finishing fourth in the BFGoodrich Trophy round. Emmanuel Guigou and David Marty (Renault Clio R3 Maxi) won in Group R. Hervé Paternot and Maxime Vilmot (Subaru N12 B / Team 2HP) won in Group N and François Rennard and Cindy Ramel (Renault Clio / Team GPC Motorsport) won Group F 2000.

With François Pelamourgues and Luc Escharavil in the top 20 of the final ranking, Pavérani Compétition won the first round of the French Team Championship ahead of Bozian Racing and Barroso Sport.

Pierre Campana and Sabrina de Castelli win the first of six rounds of the Suzuki Rallye Cup? FFSA ahead of Jérémi Ancian / Damien Mezy and Cédric Durand / Guillaume Labadie. Teamed up for the first time, Pierre Marché and Julien Rebut won the first round in the history of the Volant Peugeot 207. Franck Véricel and Frédéric Comte completed the podium.
