After experiencing a very cruel abandonment at Castine at the beginning of the month, the 2019 Italian Terre champion left only a few crumbs for his opponents and ideally returned to the championship at the wheel of his Ford Fiesta Rally 2.
“We knew how to ride cleanly and knew how to manage when necessary” – Stéphane Consani
Behind the Ford driver, Cyrille Feraud scored his best result in the French Terrestrial Championship by taking second place. The driver of the Citroen C4 WRCEx Sébastien Ogier, once again shows himself to be particularly consistent and is certainly delighted this evening with this magnificent result, he who previously had already finished in third place 7 times.
“It was great, especially with Jessica it’s just happiness. We had a lot of fun” – Benjamin Clémençon
The surprise winner of the Castine, Benjamin Clemençon, confirms his good intentions this season by taking the last step of the podium. The Gard thus confirms its leadership position in the championship.
In the French “2-wheel drive” championship as in the 208 Rally Cup, Mathieu Franceschi flew through this round and took the lead in the championship. Long dominant, Quentin Ribaud (Renault Clio RSR Rally5) let slip away a victory that held out its arms to it. At the end of the top 10, Paul Lamouret once again signed a very nice result with his aging Mitsubishi Lancer Evo9.
In the Clio Trophy Terre, Jean-Paul Monnin finished very strongly in this final special and won ahead of Quentin Ribaud by only 11s6.
