Stéphane Sarrazin at the summit of Mont-Blanc

The contenders all tried their luck but no one was able to catch up with Stéphane Sarrazin who managed to build up a sufficient lead on the first day to secure the second stage. Frédéric Comte (Citroën C4 WRC) was trying to catch up with the leader of the event before getting trapped in the long course of La Côte? Praz de Lys? Sommand where he was forced to stop for five minutes to change a wheel. Jean-Marie Cuoq (Ford Focus WRC) inherited second place and tried everything to catch up with the driver Peugeot . The Championship leader ultimately failed 16 seconds from victory but consolidated his first position in the Drivers' standings. The podium was completed by Julien Maurin (Fiesta WRC) who finished two minutes from the race lead after having had a worry-free weekend.

Gilles Nantet (Porsche 997 Cup) se classe quatrième à plus d’une minute du podium tandis que Pierre Roché (Mini Countryman) complète le top cinq. Freddy Loix prend la sixième place après avoir vu ses rivaux en 207 S2000 lâcher prise dans la fameuse ES7. Bryan Bouffier a abandonné sur sortie de route alors qu’il occupait la septième place tandis que Cédric Robert a perdu deux minutes suite à une crevaison. Patrick Rouillard peut ainsi hisser sa Porsche 997 GT3 en septième place en terminant avec sept secondes d’avance sur Frédéric Comte. Le pilote Citroën a repris l’avantage sur Anthony Cosson (Porsche 997 Cup) et Ludovic Gal (207 S2000) dans le dernier parcours de l’épreuve.
