The new Hyundai Motorsport driver spoke very honestly about his minor accident, except for his Hyundai i20 N Rally2. It was precisely the fact of driving a new car (between 2020 and 2023 he drove a Citroën C3 Rally2) that destabilized him.
« Camilli VS Whispers (windshield wipers. Editor’s note) 0 – 1. Obviously not yet very instinctive with my new ergonomics, a brief moment of taking my eyes off the road and I find myself, despite myself, far too far to the left outside the tracks and triggering my turn too late! A bad reflex which stops this very good start to the race!
The car was evil in these conditions and we're just frustrated that we couldn't continue playing with it! There isn't much more to say. Thanks to Hyundai Motorsport, my entire 2C Compétition team and my partners for their strong moral support! See you at Charbo in 1 month! »
A regrettable retirement for Éric Camilli, who had just set his first scratch time at the wheel of the South Korean car (best time in SS4).
