Vosges – Giordano gets closer

With Corcieux's 20,39 as breakfast, the Vosges-Grand Est pilots tackled a piece of bravery.

Trapped in one of the famous uphill hairpins, Quentin Giordano (Polo GTI R5-Sarrazin Motorsport) lost just under 6 seconds to Bonato. The C3 Rally2 driver took the opportunity to get back into contact with the leader of the rally. Forced to attack to create a new gap, Giordano took the fastest time in SS 7 to be 0,6 seconds ahead of Bonato.

The latter unfortunately got trapped in the first passage of Pays d'Ormont.

Délesté de la menace Bonato, Giordano doit maintenant se méfier de William Wagner (Polo GTI R5-Sarrazin Motorsport) et de Nicolas Ciamin (i20 N Rally2-Hyundai 2C Competition).

Ambushed in 4th place in front of Quentin Gilbert (C3 Rally2-CHL Sport Auto), Hugo Margaillan (C3 Rally2-CHL Sport Auto) is ready to seize the slightest misstep from the drivers ahead of him.

Victim of a “touchdown” and a puncture in SS 7, Adrien fourmaux (Fiesta Rally2-Sarrazin Motorsport) spared no effort to get closer to Gilbert after the engine problems encountered during the first stage.

Forced to score big points to maintain title hopes in the Stellantis Motorsport Rally Cup, Léo Rossel (208 Rally4-Rossel Compétition) retained control of the promotion formula ahead of Térence Callea (208 Rally4-Sarrazin Motorsport) and Réhane Gany (208 Rally4-Lycée Saint-Vallier).
