Time to attack

Determined to forget the disappointment of his retirement in Antibes, Hugo Margaillan (C3 Rally2-CHL Sport Auto) entered the Top 5 ahead of Quentin Gilbert (C3 Rally2-CHL Sport Auto).

Adrien fourmaux (Fiesta Rally2-Sarrazin Motorsport) and his team were unable to resolve the problems with the Ford encountered by the French hope, in search of confidence on the asphalt.

Eighth in the scratch classification, a place that does not suit him, Cédric Robert (A110 Rally-Team Bonneton HDG) was content with leadership in two-wheel drive.

The only branded Cup present at Gérardmer this weekend, the Stellantis Motorsport Rally Cup saw Léo Rossel (208 Rally4-Rossel Compétition) finish the first day in the lead ahead of Térence Callea (208 Rally4-Sarrazin Motorsport)

On the promotional side…

While Quentin Giordano dominates the “Premium” classification, Thomas Capelli (208 R2) is 4,2 seconds ahead of the “Sub” of Jean-Nicolas Hot, the stage local, in the “Amateur” classification.

In the Lucie Vauthier Trophy, Sarah Rumeau (Corsa Rally4-Cilti Sport) confirmed her domination among the female race.

After this short first day, the competitors will take advantage of the Super Special held in the Mauselaine car park (non-classification), to let loose and have fun before tackling a long second stage notably marked by three passages in the formidable judge of peace: Corcieux.
