Yoann Bonato wins the Lyon-Charbonnières Rally

Leader this morning at the start of the second stage of the Rally Lyon-Charbonnières, second round of the French Asphalt Rally Championship, Yoann Bonato (Citroën C3 R5) had a relatively quiet day to win at the finish.

Author of the scratches in the first four SS of the day, the reigning French rally champion had secured the lead in the event before controlling the final specials. The CHL team resident won in the end with a 24″ lead over Yohan Rossel (Citroën C3 R5), best time in three special stages this Saturday.

A performance sufficient to secure second place after an intense battle with Quentin Gilbert (Volkswagen Polo GTI R5), who was unable to contain Rossel in the final time trial and who failed by eight tenths.

Gilbert se console avec la victoire en Trophée Michelin R5 devant Sylvain Michel (Skoda Fabia R5) et Raphaël Astier (Hyundai i20 R5).

Quentin Giordano (Hyundai i20 R5) finished 4th at 49″ and preceded Nicolas Ciamin (Abarth 124 Rally), author of a superb performance in the middle of the R5s, and despite the breakage of his anti-roll bar in SS10.
