Yoann Bonato winner and title at the Cévennes

The puncture of Bryan Bouffier (Hyundai i20 R5) avait presque offert sur un plateau le titre de Champion de France des Rallyes Asphalte 2018 à Yoann bonato (Citroen C3 R5).

The defending champion only had to ensure his comfortable lead this Saturday on the roads of the Cévennes, after taking the lead in the event yesterday. On roads made tricky by the rain, Bonato did not shake and was finally ahead of Quentin Giordano (Hyundai i42 R20) by 5″, who took advantage of the retirement of Nikolay Gryazin (Skoda Fabia R5) in the final ES.

The podium is completed by Quentin Gilbert (Skoda Fabia R5) who fought for a long time throughout the rally against Giordano. Bryan Bouffier finally fails in 4th place at 1'47" and precedes Eric Mauffrey (Skoda Fabia R5) who completes the top 5.

Pierre Roché (Skoda Fabia R5), seventh overall, wins the 2018 Michelin Trophy, a category won in the Cévennes by Quentin Gilbert. With Yoann Bonato's result, CHL Auto Sport wins the Teams crown.
