With a time of 2'51"1, the Finn took over the local event and the only representative Hyundai in the Top 5, Ott Tänak. The 2019 champion actually ranked 2nd, half a second behind Kalle Rovanperä.
The other three places in the Top 5 were taken by the Toyota drivers with Takamoto Katsuta (+0“6) on the 3rd step of the podium followed by Elfyn Evans (+1“1) and Sébastien Ogier (+2“).
Freelancer for Hyundai in Estonia in place of Dani Sordo, the Irishman Craig Breen finished 7th in Kalle Rovanperä’s Shakedown 2“6. Back in the premier category after his absence in Kenya, Frenchman Pierre-Louis Loubet (2C Compétition) clocked the 10th time, 6 seconds from the lead. The 2021 Rally Estonia begins this Thursday with the Tartu super special at 19:38 p.m.
