At 49, Sébastien Loeb is always eager for discoveries. The nine-time world rally champion, still active in motorsport, will get back behind the wheel of a rally. Not in WRC this time… but in the TER Series. The Portuguese event was in fact not selected for the 2023 ERC.
The Alsatian will discover the Azores Rally (Portugal) on March 31 and April 1, a first for him. He will also discover a new vehicle, the new Skoda Fabia RS Rally2 which has established itself as the benchmark in the Rally2 category. His companion Laurène Godey will be at his side in the right seat.
😁 Me when I learn that I'm going to discover... these landscapes 🤩
Super happy to be able to start the @AzoresRallye for the first time in my career!
Can't wait to be there 😇#VisitAzores #ForTheBrave #Redbull #SFR #RichardMille pic.twitter.com/SROWFdoRgr

The Frenchman, who still does not have a WRC program with M-Sport, will therefore keep busy with the discovery of this new rally, in Portugal. “Great luckthem to be able to take the start of the Azores Rally for the first time in my career, reacted Sébastien Loeb on his social networks. This week will be dedicated to fun with this atypical event, Laurène in the right-hand seat and the discovery of the Skoda Fabia RS Rally2. Impatient to be there ! »
The rally legend will face high-level opponents, since Andreas Mikkelsen and Ole-Christian Veiby have also confirmed their presence for the Azores Rally.
