Sébastien Ogier reunites with the Yaris Rally1

The fourth round of the 2022 World Rally Championship will take place in Portugal (May 18-22) and will mark the return of Sébastien Ogier and his co-pilot Benjamin Veillas. In order to define the best settings for this meeting, the two French people took part in a regulatory test day. The latter was special for Ogier, since he had not sat in the passenger compartment of the Yaris hybrid since the Sunday of Monte-Carlo in January. Eager to spend more time with family, Sébastien only competed in one endurance race at Sebring (15e) from his podium in Monaco for the opening of the WRC. He was impatient to rediscover the sensations provided by the Rally1.

In front of numerous spectators, he was able to do a series of runs and discover the behavior of his horse on dirt, a surface on which he had never ridden before with the Japanese. After receiving a visit from André Villas-Boas, who also occasionally runs in rally and who was the coach of Olympique de Marseille, the club of which Ogier is a fan, the latter seemed to demonstrate that the interruption of a few months had not altered his peak speed. Knowing that for the first time in years he will have a good position in the starting orders (8e), Sébastien will only aim for one thing in Portugal: victory. His adversaries have been warned.
