Var – Ciamin in the lead at midday

Nicolas Ciamin had the pleasant surprise to learn that he was taking the lead again in the Var rally after the decision of the college of sports commissioners to credit him with a new time after having been hampered by Quentin Giordano's exit from the road yesterday in the ES 3.

In great form this morning with three consecutive best times, Yoann Bonato (C3 Rally2-CHL Sport Auto) moved closer to Nicolas Ciamin (Fabia Rally2 evo-Oreca Store) in the provisional ranking of the rally. Indeed, the Nice driver saw his SS 3 time achieved yesterday after the exit of Quentin Giordano (Polo GTI Rally2-Sarrazin Motorsport) corrected at the end of the morning by the college of sports stewards thanks in particular to tracking.

The recent winner of the Antibes rally is therefore 2,5 seconds ahead of the Bonao-Boulloud duo despite a choice of tires that did not suit him.

Lonely, Pierre Roché (C3 Rally2-Team FJ) maintains his place on the provisional podium in addition to his leadership in the Michelin “R5” Trophy.

Fourth, Patrick Rouillard (Fabia Rally2-Rouillard Sport) forgot his brake problems from the day before (broken discs) and must now contain the return of the Alpine.

François Delecour (A110 Rally), first of the two-wheel drive cars, is only 2,1 seconds behind the Fabia driver.

Particularly comfortable this morning, Julien Saunier (A110 Rally-Sébastien Loeb Racing Bardhal) largely dominates the Trophy Alpine Elf Rally. He is now torn between the desire to fight against Delecour and to maintain his first place in the Trophy.

Still in the running for the title of French two-wheel drive Champion, Cédric Robert (A110 Rally-Bonneton HDG) paid dearly for his poor choice of tires this morning and lost more than a minute during this loop of three specials. It's an ideal scenario for Romain di Fante (Clio RSR Rally5) who leads the RC5 category.

With more than 1,30 minutes ahead of Lucas Darmezin (208 Rally4), Hugo Margaillan (208 Rally4-CHL Sport Auto) is in an ideal position to win the 208 Rally Cup U29. The local stage must now stay at the same pace to achieve their objective.

Wearing rain tires, Jean-Baptiste Franceschi (Clio Rally4) took the advantage over Stéphane Lefebvre (Corsa GS Line Rally4-Cilti) who did not save his Opel to limit the gaps with the driver Renault. Lefebvre must now monitor the return of Patrick Magnou (Clio Rally4) in the fight for the podium in RC4.

As for the French Women's Championship, Sarah Rumeau (208 Rally4) is in the lead and is getting closer to a first national title in the discipline.
