27 competitors at the Mexico rally

The Mexico rally, which will take place from Thursday March 7 to Sunday March 10, 2013, will welcome 27 participants. It will also be the first event without Sébastien Loeb since the end of the 2006 season.

27 competitors at the Mexico rally

The Mexican ordeal of WRC, the third of the season, will welcome 27 competitors for a total of 13 WRCs. First rally on gravel of the Polo R WRC, it will be interesting to see how Sébastien Ogier and Jari-Matti Latvala will perform on this surface. Likewise, Citroën, which will do without Loeb, which has not happened since the 2006 Rally Great Britain, will have to increase the pace with Dani Sordo and Mikko Hirvonen. Ford will also be closely watched with Mads Ostberg and Evgeny Novikov.
Two drivers will make a one-off appearance with Ken Block, in the Hoonigan Racing Ford Fiesta WRC, and local Benito Guerra, winner of the 2012 P-WRC, in a Citroën DS3. The entry list is available here. For the record, the winner of the 2013 edition will be unpublished, Sébastien Loeb having been undefeated since 2006.
