84 cars at the start

The Automobile Club of Monaco has presented the entry list for the 81st edition of the Monte-Carlo Rally. Nearly 84 cars are expected from Tuesday January 15, in Valencia, from where the start will be given.

Let us first note in this list, the presence of the last four winners of the event who are Sébastien Loeb, Bryan Bouffier and Mikko Hirvonen, all on Citroën DS3 WRC et Sébastien Ogier, on his VW Polo WRC. This event will indeed mark the debut of Polo in the World Rally Championship, but also those of Thierry Neuville at Ford.
Several drivers will be able to legitimately aim for victory, among them, the Citroën drivers Loeb, Hirvonen and Sordo, we will also have to be wary of Mads Ostberg, as well as the VW drivers Ogier and Latvala.
As outsiders, Evgeny Novikov, Thierry Neuville and even Juho Hänninen will try to get a convincing result. Other drivers, finally, will seek to get noticed, Bryan Bouffier, usual driver Peugeot , and Citroën freelancer for the occasion, as well as recent winner of the Production World Championship Michal Kosciuszko, will be at the top of the list.
