It's important to be honest. See the name ofAdrien fourmaux appearing at the start of New Zealand had been a surprise. After his accident in the penultimate special of rally of Ypres, the Frenchman's career at M-Sport seemed to have lead in the wing.
His absence at the Acropolis seemed to support these fears even if the English had explained that a timing problem in getting his car back on time was responsible for this failure. Believing that this absence had been misinterpreted and gave the impression that M-Sport was stopping its collaboration with Fourmaux, Richard Millener, the team manager, intervened to affirm that this changed nothing in the program and that things would resume their course at the next sleeve…which ultimately will not be the case. Auckland is no longer on his schedule. “ After reassessing Adrien Fourmaux's objectives for the 2022 season, M-Sport has withdrawn its entry for Rally New Zealand, explains the English team. M-Sport remains fully committed to Adrien and this decision was taken jointly with him. M-Sport can confirm that Adrien will return to Rally Spain in a Puma Hybrid Rally1. »
After having fielded 5 cars in Greece, there will only be 3 at the start of the event scheduled from Thursday September 29. Craig Breen and Fergus Greensmith will be responsible for scoring the points for M-Sport, while Lorenzo Bertelli will discover the Puma hybrid.
