Adrien Fourmaux the Stakhanovist

Having just returned from the Acropolis where with a little success he could have won the WRC2, Adrien Fourmaux is preparing to do several weekends in a row in different competitions. Instead of complaining about it, the Northerner takes every opportunity with pleasure.

Adrien Fourmaux the Stakhanovist

The pilots of rally are seriously “sick”. While they often say that their schedule is too busy between races, tests and travel, as soon as they have a free moment, they manage to slip behind a wheel.

This is exactly what will do Adrien fourmaux. The grueling special stages of the Acropolis could have made him want to take a little rest, but instead he will compete in the 24H TT of France on the Fontaine-Fourches circuit (77 Seine-et-Marnes) this weekend (September 16-17). He will ride on a Can Am Maverick T3 FIA. The machine develops 180 hp. Its 4-wheel drive and variator gearbox allow it to reach speeds of 135 km/h. If he keeps the blue identical to his Fiesta Rally2, the big news for the old carabin is not to run in Pirelli. The T3 of the Quad Bike Evasion team will in fact be equipped with BF-Goodrich tires. Besides Adrien, the other drivers are his brother Maxime and Romain Locmane the boss. The three men will not be able to do relays exceeding 2h30 or they will receive penalties. This is not the first time that Fourmaux has faced this type of ordeal. It will therefore not be lost. He will have more discoveries to make later.

The member of M-Sport is in fact on the entry list for Rally Yorkshire (September 22-23, 91,67 km timed, 6 SS) which is organized around Filey, 110 km northeast of Leeds in the north of England. Leader of the UK British Rally Championship with 4 victories in as many participations, Adrien will have the possibility of winning the title. Having missed the Rali Ceredigion, he was also preparing to miss the final meeting at the Cambrian (October 28) and it was always possible that a rival would come and steal the crown from him. That weekend, Fourmaux (who also commented on Chile for Canal +…) and Alexandre Coria, his co-driver, will be at the start of the Central Europe Rally.

To prepare for it, the crew will have previously competed in the Herbst Rallye in Austria. Ott Tänak and the Puma will also be present in Dobersberg for this asphalt race. When they will be on the podium in Prague for the launch of the 12e world round, it will be their 15the rally of the year and this should not be interrupted since Japan is planned. We must remember that at the start of the year Adrien was skeptical about the scale of his program. He feared that it would stop after Monte-Carlo and that he would have to find another activity. Author of a very successful season so far, he was right not to commit elsewhere…
