Andreas Mikkelsen first leader in Portugal

Contested in front of a public who responded, the Lousada special allowed the Norwegian to Andreas Mikkelsen to take the lead in Rally from Portugal. Despite the dust present on the route of this super-special, the Volkswagen driver, who for this Lusitanian event has the latest iteration of the Polo R WRC preceded 0″5 his teammate Sébastien Ogier, and 0″8 Jari-Matti Latvala, for a hat-trick of German cars.

Robert Kubica (Ford)
, back after missing the Rally Argentina, follows in fourth position ahead of the first Hyundai i20 Thierry Neuville and the DS3s of Kris Meeke and Mads Ostberg, who concluded a day that had started badly, with an accident during shakedown. Nasser Al-Attiyah (Ford) dominates the WRC-2. Bad start for Éric Camilli who hit the safety barrier at the start of the super special. The Frenchman will start again in Rally2.

Friday will begin tomorrow morning at 10:40 a.m. with the Ponte de Lima special. The Rally of Portugal will be followed live on our website.
