Argentina: A record run in 2012

In response to the wishes of the FIA to extend the route of the events of the WRC, the organizers of Rally of Argentina have prepared 503km timed spread over 19 special stages for the 2012 edition, or around 160km more than the average of rallies planned this season. If a passage through Uruguay and Chile has been considered, the route will be contested only in Argentine territory. The service park will remain at Villa Carlos Paz.

The first stage of the Rally Argentina will be the longest day with 194km timed on the program. But the longest stage of the weekend will be reserved for the last day. The crews will take on the 66 kilometers of the El Durazno-Ambul course on Sunday, which represents almost twice the length of the Panzerplatte special stage held in Germany.
