Good debut for the Ford Fiesta R5 with Wilson

After the beginnings of the Peugeot 208 R5, it’s the turn of M-Sport to take the first laps of the Fiesta R5 which was driven by Matthew Wilson. The Briton completed this first test session on the dirt roads of the Greystoke forest. Despite the development of the Fiesta RS WRC and the S2000 and RRC versions, the R5 version has been revised to more than 90%. The team therefore had complete specifications to assess the reliability and performance of the car which seems to have performed brilliantly.

“We're making great progress (with the Ford Fiesta R5), it's fantastic to be able to drive like this with a car straight from the garage.”, comments Matthew Wilson. “We tested the strength and reliability of the car extensively to put it in a similar situation at WRC level, but we also worked on the settings in the afternoon. There is still a lot of development to be done, but today was a very promising day. All the bases are there and this new Fiesta will in any case be a very competitive car. »
