In Estonia he could be the referee of the duel Neuville – Rovanperä. Craig Breen returns to the Otepää region with very good memories and a nice balance sheet. “I’m looking forward to Estonia. It's a rally which has worked well for us in the past, declared the Irish pilot. We got on the podium several times. Over the past two years, as part of the world championship WRC, we managed to achieve two podiums. Honestly, I can't wait to be there! »

After a very complicated Safari Rally (6th), compromised by a damaged Ford Puma, Breen is counting on the next events to regain good sensations. “We are starting a series of three rallies with which I am very familiar and very comfortable. It's the complete opposite of the last two rallies we've had! I don't feel like a foreigner going to Estonia, I know what to expect. »

Breen 'very comfortable' during private testing in Estonia

On a much faster rally than in Kenya, with gravel trails conducive to high speeds, the Ford should be more comfortable. Second at the Sardinia Rally, the ex-driver Hyundai arrives confident with his car in Estonia. “We had some very good tests last week. The car felt great and I was really comfortable from the start, so I'm looking forward to it. The stages look great, obviously with high speeds, big jumps and big crests. »

Rich Millener, team principal M-Sport, confirmed the good performance of the Puma during private testing. “Kenya was a very difficult test (…). We now move on to an almost opposite rally, a very fast and flowing event with big jumps. All the crews carried out very good tests before the event in order to get back into the swing of things for such fast stages. I got a lot of positive feedback on the car during testing, so I hope we can perform well this weekend. »

Craig Breen is aiming for a good result in Estonia to get back on track and stay in the race for second place in the championship. The Irishman is 5th in the drivers' standings (60 points), 20 points behind Thierry Neuville. With a more advantageous starting position than his direct competitors, the Waterford native could well do well…
