Bryan Bouffier aims for top five

In 2014, Bryan Bouffier had for a time led the debates during the Rally Monte-Carlo, before finishing second behind the Volkswagen Polo R Sébastien Ogier. This year, the winner of the Monaco event in 2011 (then in IRC), will get back behind the wheel of a Ford Fiesta WRC, which sports a livery homage to Charlie Hebdo.

“It's always difficult to predict something, especially in a race as difficult as Monte-Carlo, explains the 36-year-old pilot at a press conference. On this type of event, you can go out more or less at each turn. My goal is the top five and the dream would be a 100% French podium with these two guys in front of me (Sébastien Loeb and Sébastien Ogier). It would be great for our country. It was very difficult to get the budget, but it's a great pleasure to ride again. I have a good feeling with the car, the settings are more or less the same. You have to stay very focused and slow down when the road is slippery. »

The first SS of the Monte-Carlo Rally will begin this evening at 20:21 p.m., and will be followed, like the entire first round of the 2015 WRC, live on our website. Photos of the shakedown can be viewed here.
