Camilli ready for Germany with the new Fiesta R5

Éric Camilli will participate in the debut of the new Ford Fiesta R5 on asphalt by competing next week in the Rally from Germany where he will be engaged once again in WRC 2Pro. The Frenchman started with the new mount of M-Sport in Finland but struggled to keep up with local Kalle Rovanperä who was racing in a Skoda Fabia R5 Evo.

“The Rally Germany is a special event for me. It’s here that I made my WRC debut and I’ve had some great performances there since, including a class victory in the first version of the Ford Fiesta R5 in 2017.”, explains Éric Camilli.

“The biggest challenge in Germany is understanding the grip levels because they are constantly changing. We always cut a lot on this round and the roads become very dirty. In addition, it is never easy to manage high speeds on such narrow roads. The competition will be very high, but our goal is to obtain the best times. We will do what is necessary to have a good result and highlight the true potential of the car,” adds the French.

M-Sport will enter a second Ford Fiesta R5 for “Pedro” who will be entered in WRC 2.
