Carlos del Barrio replaces Marc Marti alongside Dani Sordo

Dani Sordo will change co-driver in 2018 as Marc Marti will be replaced by Carlos del Barrio at Hyundai Motorsport.

Carlos del Barrio replaces Marc Marti alongside Dani Sordo

Spanish Dani sordo, resident of Hyundai Motorsport, ne sera plus copiloté en 2018 par son compatriote Marc Marti, remplacé dans ses fonctions par Carlos del Barrio.

Former teammate of Jesus Puras then Carlos Sainz at Citroën Racing, Marti took his place alongside Dani Sordo in 2005 for the victorious Junior campaign WRC. The tandem will evolve together until 2010 before Sordo is joined by Diego Vallejo then Carlos del Barrio.

The latter, who had already supported Sordo before the title obtained in Junior, had been the only victory of the native of Torrelavega in WRC in Germany in 2013.

When the former Citroën driver arrived at Hyundai for 2014, Marc Marti took his place with Dani Sordo until the end of the 2017 season. Carlos del Barrio thus returns to the highest level in the world and will discover the new WRC in action since this year.
