Catalonia: the modified Shakedown

The FIA has given authorization to the organizers of the Rally de Catalunya so that they can organize the shakedown on a special portion of the event.

For the first time at Rally of Catalonia which marks the penultimate round of the World Rally Championship, the shakedown will not take place on a road reserved especially for the occasion. This time, the competitors will set off on the 4,32 km which mark the start of the Riudecanyes special. This same special stage will be run twice on Sunday (SS13 and 16).

On Thursday, October 1, the crews will be able to carry out their final checks while correcting their notes one last time on this road section. The rally organizers justified this change by their desire to reduce costs, which was accepted by the FIA.
