In addition to testing Andreas Mikkelsen in racing conditions, Citroën Racing has modified its hierarchy between the Rally of Sardinia and the Rally of Poland by replacing Laurent Fregosi with Christophe Besse as technical director.

Christophe Besse has already worked within Citroën Racing, notably managing the test team between 2003 and 2007 before joining the program. Endurance de Peugeot Sport avec la 908. Il a ensuite fourni ses services à Porsche et son programme LMP1 et à Bentley en Blancpain GT Series.

“Laurent Fregosi, who held this position for a year after having been chief engineer for the C4, the DS 3 WRC and the C-Elysée WTCC, wanted to return to a more technical role, explains Yves Matton, director of Citroën Racing. We then called Christophe Besse, an engineer that Citroën has known very well since he started working on the Xsara WRC in the early 2000s. This change is part of the new foundations established before Poland. »
