Citroën well represented in WRC 2 at Wales Rally GB

Citroën Racing is counting on the good performance of its C3 R5 to optimize sales of its new vehicle intended for Customer Competitions. The Chevron manufacturer will be represented at Wales Rally GB (October 4-7) by Stéphane Lefebvre, Simone Tempestini and Ole Christian Veiby who changed horses to end the season.

“From Germany, I had the opportunity to rediscover my sensations on the ground with the C3 R5 during a development session near Mazamet, then I will also do a more specific run in Great Britain on site just before departure, to reaccustom myself to the countless changes in grip. The difficulty on these tracks is knowing how to read the grip and distinguish, for example, mud that is slippery from mud that has grip. But I fully intend to realize our undeniable potential there.”, assures Stéphane Lefebvre who has already competed in Wales Rally GB three times.

“Having successfully passed the endurance test imposed by the Rally from Turkey, the C3 R5 will find a more sprint-style race in Great Britain. If it will put its wheels on this atypical terrain for the first time, I have confidence in my team to once again demonstrate its ability to adapt to all surfaces, especially since we will be able to count on a additional value driver”, adds Pierre Budar, director of Citroën Racing.
