Citroën discusses with Loeb and Ogier

As we announce in issue 2128 of AUTOhebdo, Citroën Racing is in discussions with Sébastien Loeb et Sébastien Ogier for the 2018 season. The nine-time world champion now engaged with Peugeot Sport en Rally-Raid and in World RX tested the C3 for the first time WRC on Tuesday August 8 during a 300km test session organized in the Vosges (see: n°2127 of AUTOhebdo).

If Sébastien Loeb has not defended the colors of Citroën in the WRC since the 2015 Monte-Carlo Rally, the Alsatian would like to carry out a partial program with the Chevrons manufacturer.

Citroën Racing is also in discussions with other drivers. Andreas Mikkelsen, author of a 2nd place at the Rally Germany last weekend, is well placed in the list.

Yves Matton, the director of the French team, assured that his current crews will remain under contract in 2018. The future nevertheless remains uncertain for Kris Meeke who has not scored any points in 5 of his last 6 engagements and who points even behind Andreas Mikkelsen in the Drivers' standings.
