PSA Motorsport's announcement regarding a test session with Sébastien Loeb on the C3 WRC was enough to give rise to rumors about a possible return of the nine-time champion of WRC.
Yves Matton, the director of Citroën Racing, indicated that the Chevron brand had no plans to compete with the Alsatian who now defends the interests of Peugeot Sport en Rally-Raid and World RX.
“There are no plans for him to drive a car in competition, indicated Yves Matton on WRC.com. It's just curiosity at the moment. He is interested in racing all kinds of cars. It is in the common interest to do something. He was motivated by the idea of driving the C3 and it was interesting for us to have the feedback of another driver. »
Yves Matton specified that the asphalt test session will be carried out before the Rally Germany held from August 17 to 20.
“With his level of experience, he can perhaps confirm certain things or give us ideas. Maybe he'll find something that'll be interesting.", added Yves Matton.
