Citroën has more pressure with the C3 WRC

Yves Matton, director of Citroën Racing, expressed his concerns about the development of the C3 WRC planned for the 2017 season. If the Chevron brand has officially left the World Rally Championship this season, its work is focused on the development of its future mount which will correspond to the new regulations of the discipline offering more cars efficient.

“Over the two eight-day driving sessions, we encountered no major problems and we were able to accumulate the kilometers. It is the most important ", confided the Belgian on WRC.com.

“Compared to the past, we started the development of this car a little later and the pressure is a little greater. We knew it would be difficult to be ready with a good level if we had encountered a big problem. So far, everything is working well and we seem to be off to a good start.", added Yves Matton.

The tests have so far been carried out by Stéphane Lefebvre, Craig Breen and Kris Meeke, last winner in Portugal on May 22.

“They had a smile when they tried the car because it’s incredible,” said the director of Citroën Racing. “They are happy because they know it will become a toy for them when it is even more developed. That's my feeling. »
