Citroën files a complaint against Volkswagen!

Jari-Matti Latvala’s victory at Rally of the Acropolis remains in the conditional. Citroën Racing lodged a protest with the stewards with the three Volkswagen Polo R WRC. The complaint was nevertheless rejected, the rafter manufacturer not being able to make a single request against two teams (Volkswagen Motorsport with Jari-Matti Latvala and Sébastien Ogier, and Volkswagen Motorsport 2 with Andreas Mikkelsen).

But Citroën Racing took advantage of the time allowed to reformulate its request. The French team has therefore filed two complaints with the three Polo R WRCs which are currently under investigation by the stewards. The final classification of the Acropolis Rally therefore remains pending. Jari-Matti Latvala finished the event in first place, while Andreas Mikkelsen took the points for fourth position (plus a bonus point in the Power Stage). Sébastien Ogier only took tenth place but won the additional three on the Loutraki special.
