Citroën presents a C3 WRC concept

Over the weeks, the development frames of the different brands which will be engaged in WRC in 2017 have evolved significantly, with aerodynamics regularly reviewed during test sessions carried out on dirt or asphalt. However, the manufacturers have logically tried to reveal as few elements as possible during their official communications.

This Tuesday, Citroën Racing, on the other hand, largely presented a concept of the C3 WRC, in photos and in a video produced for the Paris Motor Show (October 1 – 16).

“The C3 WRC concept reflects an intention expressed by the Citroën style center, without revealing all the secrets of the final version. If the final version which will participate in the championship will fully comply with the new FIA WRC regulations in force from 2017, the C3 WRC concept already comes very close.

Indeed, the width is worked according to these new regulations, as are the front and rear aerodynamic appendages. » specifies the press release. We will therefore still have to wait to discover the first of the 2017 WRCs in final version, even if, with the approval date (November 1st) approaching, the secret should be lifted fairly quickly.
