Delicate conditions in Sweden?

While the shakedown of the Swedish Rally will take place tomorrow, the rather mild weather of the last few days suggests delicate road conditions on certain roads of the Swedish Rally.

Delicate conditions in Sweden?

In view of the various photos posted on social networks for several days, it is clear that certain roads in the rally of Sweden lack snow. Temperatures remain higher than usual (around -1, -2°C, even positive in certain places) and the lack of snowfall for the moment makes some "soup" areas appear, still very difficult for pilots to understand. Ice is also absent from some portions, and gravel and dirt appear under the thin layer of snow.

But beware. The weather in Sweden can change very quickly. A drop in temperatures is forecast for this evening. If the special stages which will be run at the end of the rally (notably SS 18/22 and 20/24) are currently perfectly snow-covered, the shakedown which will be contested tomorrow presents very changeable conditions. If snow were to fall overnight and before the first day, this could disadvantage those first on the road, particularly Sébastien Ogier which will open the road on Wednesday evening, for the first SS of the rally.
