Craig Breen with Hyundai Motorsport in Ypres

Sébastien Loeb will not be at the start of the Rally of Ypres in Belgium (November 19-22), final of the 2020 World Rally Championship. Hyundai Motorsport confirmed this Thursday that Craig Breen will be the third driver nominated to score points alongsideOtt Tänak et Thierry Neuville.

Already present in Sweden and Estonia, with a second place on the fast Baltic roads, the Irishman will be able to use his experience of the Belgian terrain, he who won with a Volkswagen Polo GTI R5 in 2019.

“Craig and Paul showed in Estonia what they can accomplish when given the right tools, underlines Andrea Adamo, director of Hyundai Motorsport. They both demonstrated their strength in Ypres last year, and will therefore bring invaluable experience and knowledge to our team at this event.

The championship has tightened after our double in Estonia, so we must continue to field our strongest team in each of the rallies still on the calendar. I think Craig and Paul are the best crew to join Thierry – Nicolas and Ott – Martin in Ypres to help us finish the year as strong as possible. »

In order to best prepare for the Ypres meeting, Craig Breen and his teammate Paul Nagle will compete in the Aarova Rally Oudenaarde (October 9-11) and South Belgian Rally (October 24-25).
