Craig Breen will have to quickly adapt to the Tour de Corse

Craig Breen will have to quickly find their bearings on asphalt before competing in the Tour de Corse from September 29 to October 2. The Irishman, who was retained by Citroën following the loss of Stéphane Lefebvre in an accident in Germany, had to prepare for the Rally of the 10 Bends by competing in the Isle of Man Rally last weekend with an R000 version of the DS 5, but its tests quickly ended following mechanical damage.

“We came there to do some miles, but the car stopped after 16km and the trip became almost useless…, explained Craig Breen on WRC.com. I tested the car for only 15 or 20km before departure and it was difficult to return to old habits after driving a WRC all year. My grades were more in line with a WRC. It took a little time to get used to it, but I found the right rhythm before giving up. »

Craig Breen will therefore attach particular importance to the test session planned with Citroën on Sunday September 25 for his fourth engagement with Abu Dhabi WRT.

“I will try to make the most of it. I will have to learn a lot of things as quickly as possible for my first engagement with a WRC on asphalt. It's going to be a big stage even if asphalt is my favorite surface. This is the terrain I grew up riding on in Ireland”, recalled Craig Breen.
