Alors que le WRC is on break until Mexico in two weeks, Dani sordo is fine-tuning its preparation for its return to the World Cup stage on the other side of the Atlantic.
The Spaniard was entered this weekend on the first round of the Portuguese Rally Championship, the Rali Serras de Fafe, on tracks not far from part of the route taken in recent seasons by the Rally from Portugal.
Aligned with a Hyundai i20 R5, Sordo pocketed 13 of the 14 special stages on the menu and won in the end with a 1'14" lead over Ricardo Teodosio (Skoda Fabia R5) and 1'24" over Miguel Barbosa, also present in a Skoda Fabia R5.
